The computers which have been currently used are unquestionably not like the first generation ones that first emerged. Those were huge and produced plenty of heat, and of more important to us, these were really slow, that is if you talk with the ones that are currently available. However, as time has gone by the pc has gone via a lot of change, for they have become smaller, more compact and much faster the processing of data. They are also much cheaper, as the computer is now able to found in just about all households, mush unlike before once the computers were only based in the offices of enormous corporations.

In recent times, new things are always coming up with regard to the computer and it has become quite hard to keep up. One thing that is quite noticeable about the computers is the recent fall in prices if the computers, especially the desktop ones. This could be attributed to the fact they are falling in popularity, as most people now want to be on the go with their work and are thus going for the laptops which are able to perform just as well as the desktop with no setbacks. There are even smaller variations of the laptops that are called notebooks. These are much lighter, but are not preferred when it comes to the playing of media such as videos due to their small screen size.
This decade has also seen the coming up of the tablet computers. These are hand held devices and are operated by means of a touch screen. They are said to be best for entertainment purposes such as for surfing the web, watching movies, playing games and reading eBooks. With regard to work, these devices are not great, as they have a virtual keyboard that would appear on the screen should you need to type, and they do not have a good feel when it comes to punching the ‘keys’. They are also being found to be quite delicate and hence are likely to get damaged when it comes to doing heavy duty work.
The current computers are also being constantly upgraded when it comes to their performance. The processors are getting quite fast, and soon, it seems like you will never wait for a window to load, but it would pop up instantly, that is unless it gets infected by a virus.
